Restoration Methods

Peak Restore

Our company uses the latest high-resolution scanning equipment that electronically converts your faded or badly scratched and damaged prints into electronic data.

High speed modern computers, equipped with state of the art software, are then used to digitally enhance these captured images. Each print is then meticulously restored by skilled digital imaging experts to recapture its original character.

Once the image is restored its final presentation is then carefully considered which may include tonal changes, vignetted settings or intricate engraving or graphic shadowing.

Finally the image is transfer onto one of a variety of specially prepared papers by high speed, high resolution printers using inks that are said to withstand years of exposure to strong sunlight without the fear of fading.

A copy of this restored image is then written to a storage computer disk that is safely archived. If further prints are, at a later date, required then it is a comparatively inexpensive process to print, for you, further copies.
